Founder & Lead Coach

I founded Tapping the Source in 2017 to address the evolving challenges and opportunities that leaders face in today’s business landscape.

My career has undergone significant transformations, from serving in the British military to roles in sales and marketing at major tech corporations. I co-owned a successful technology start-up that we grew and sold, and I led a successful turnaround of a telecoms business. It's important to say it hasn't all been plain sailing, particularly navigating the financial crash of 2008, and leading the turnaround of a business that was heading towards failure. What I can say is without the support of my executive coach these experiences would have been much more difficult to respond to effectively.

A pivotal moment in my journey was meeting an executive coach while completing my MBA over 20 years ago. Her guidance helped me develop self-awareness and understand my strengths as a leader, enabling me to navigate complex changes, build effective teams, and achieve key business objectives. During my last business project, I chose to become a qualified executive coach to facilitate the same transformative changes for those I led. Following the completion of my last business project, I felt it was time to support other leaders and their teams in achieving their development goals.

Clients describe my coaching style as warm, engaging, and inquisitive. I strike a balance between support and challenge, helping clients gain insights and make progress toward their objectives—often difficult to achieve amid daily business pressures. I enjoy collaborating with leaders, teams, and organisations that have high aspirations and are committed to developing their leaders and teams to meet the demands and opportunities of today's business world.

I frequently partner with other coaching professionals, creating a network of skilled experts who collectively support the clients of Tapping the Source.

Investing in my education has been important to support my practice with a BSc, MBA, and PGCert in coaching and mentoring practice.

Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about giving back. I work with Help for Heroes, assisting veterans in navigating their transitions through injury and career changes, often in the most challenging of situations. Additionally, I engage with local community projects to make coaching accessible to those who may not be able to afford it, which seems to be needed more than ever in today's rapidly changing world.
