My Approach

I have always strived to develop myself, stretch myself and as a leader encourage my team to do the same. I have not always been successful, but I recognise what holds me back and what accelerates my development and performance. I love the feeling of enlightenment and empowerment when I experience new thinking, insights and make real progress in my performance and wellbeing. I have come to realise that I have a natural talent to connect and empathize with people. Using this to help other leaders develop greater self-awareness, create opportunities for new thinking, achieve greater performance as well as maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing gives me the ultimate professional and personal satisfaction, this is at the heart of the Tapping the Source mission.

My Story

I have extensive experience from both military and entrepreneurial business ventures. Originally a Royal Engineer Commando, I went on to a professional sales career in global technology companies. I completed a MBA in 2003 and invested in a technology start-up which I successfully led, grew and sold in 2010 to a communications and technology group. The acquisition led to a project within the group to turn around and grow an acquired internet business. After achieving five years of consecutive growth the business was integrated into the group. During this time I developed my coaching and mentoring practice focusing on developing leaders at all levels in organisations of all sizes.  I volunteer my time and skills as a mentor for Help for Heroes and coach within the Mental Health Foundation Charity.
