Founder & Lead Coach

Darren founded Tapping the Source in 2017 to respond to the challenges and opportunities facing businesses today. His natural flair and desire to attract and develop talent and create engaging and satisfying places to work naturally progressed into supporting other businesses to transform, grow their leaders and become more regenerative in nature.  

 

He has experienced many significant transformations in his career which included the military, corporate technology sales, co-owner of a successful technology start-up, which was acquired, leading to the successful turnaround of a telecoms business which was also eventually acquired.  Darren used an executive coach to help him navigate these changes, cultivating successful teams and achieving the business outcomes he was looking for.  This led him to become qualified as an executive coach, team coach and facilitator to help create positive change in the businesses he now works with.  

 

Darren’s style is warm, engaging and inquisitive, providing a balance of support and challenge so the clients he works with experience insights and progress towards their desired goals, often difficult to achieve in the fullness of day-to-day business.  He enjoys working with leaders, teams and organisations that have high aspirations and are keen to learn and develop to achieve them.   He works with like-minded professionals which has led to a group of unique, highly skilled and professional partners who together support clients of Tapping the Source.

Darren has a BSc, MBA and PGCert in coaching and mentoring practice. 

 

Darren also spends part of his time working for the military charity Help for Heroes, volunteering for the Mental Health Foundation, and working in local community projects that extend the reach of coaching to those unable to afford it.

Facilitator, Coach and Mentor

Richard guides leaders as changemakers and wayshowers who serve by their example rather than rank. They are cross-sector bridgebuilders and policy influencers, determined to distil the best of themselves to serve the best for all through this current ‘Restoration Generation’. 

 

As facilitator, coach and mentor, he supports individuals and groups to embrace eco-systemic approaches, with an openness to listen and learn from each other. He also co-leads ‘journeys and retreats of self-exploration’ in remote parts of the world. Follow up support and accountability embed ongoing learning through regular practise and deepening relationships.

 

Richard’s long-term partnerships include Mowgli Mentoring, Help For Heroes, Business Plan for Peacein UK, Middle East and Africa. 

 

Richard’s career background includes business process re-engineering (SAP & Siebel workflow) in more than 15 businesses in Europe over 7 years, delivering full cycle projects across functions, and across diverse industries from aerospace to pharmaceuticals, beverages to public sector (Diageo, Hewlett-Packard and Lufthansa). He has worked and lived abroad, including teaching English in Spain and helping set up a boutique travel business in South Africa.

 

Richard is a graduate (BA) in Modern Languages (fluent French and Spanish). He has been a visiting lecturer at University College London, Henley Business School, and London Metropolitan University. He is a trustee for the London Sports Trust, and continues to volunteer as a mentor through both Mowgli Mentoring and Help For Heroes.
